The Ideal RV Park

We have been to a couple RV parks to this point. (Which obviously makes us pros 😉) We were quick to observe some of the pros and cons. Below are just a few.

  1. Scenic Location: Ideally situated in a picturesque area with beautiful natural surroundings, such as mountains, forests, lakes, or beaches. Desert parks have not served well for us. (Dust everywhere, unexpected holes and messy children!)
  2. Spacious Sites: Having generously sized sites, allow for easy maneuvering and privacy between campers. Its great when you are one of only a few at the park. It illustrates how nice it is to spread out a bit.
  3. Full Hookups: Offering amenities like water, electricity (30 or 50 amp), sewer, and possibly even cable TV and Wi-Fi connections. As we are reliant on Starlink, cable and Wifi are not an issue but when you boondock and come back to a park, Cable and Wifi are clear luxuries.
  4. Clean and Modern Facilities: Well-maintained bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station for RV waste disposal. Are a luxury that you miss when not available.
  5. Recreational Amenities: Features like a swimming pool, playground, picnic areas, hiking trails, or a clubhouse with social activities for guests are awesome especially with kids.
  6. Pet-Friendly Environment: Welcoming to furry friends with designated pet areas, walking paths, and possibly even a dog park. In addition to no pet fees is perfect, sometimes the pet fee is more than the cost of the space! However, this can be particularly difficult when there are herds of dear and elk hanging out in the area. What is a group of deer called?
  7. Warm Welcome and Check-In Process: Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. The check-in process is streamlined and efficient, with staff members ready to assist with any questions or concerns.
    • Knowledgeable About the Area: The staff members are well-informed about the local area, including nearby attractions, restaurants, and activities. They can provide recommendations and even help with making reservations or booking tours.
    • Safety and Security: Staff members prioritize the safety and security of guests and their belongings. They may conduct regular patrols around the park to ensure everything is in order and address any safety concerns promptly.
    • Maintenance and Repairs: If there are any issues with RV hookups, facilities, or amenities, the staff is quick to respond and resolve them. They may also provide maintenance services or connect guests with local repair services if needed.
    • Community Engagement: Staff members foster a sense of community among guests by organizing social events, such as potlucks, game nights, or outdoor movie screenings. These activities create opportunities for guests to socialize and make new friends during their stay.
    • 24/7 Assistance: In case of emergencies or after-hours needs, there is always someone available on-site or on-call to assist guests. This ensures that guests feel supported and cared for throughout their stay, even during non-business hours.
    • Feedback and Improvement: The staff values feedback from guests and actively seeks ways to improve the RV park experience. They may solicit feedback through surveys, suggestion boxes, or personal conversations to implement positive changes and enhancements for future guests.

So, just a few thoughts to stew over. Till next time.
